Make no mistake- this is a straight up, full on pop album. Ellie Goulding wants to compete with the likes of Taylor Swift. Her ever so slightly experimental sound from Halcyon is gone. But there are some solid tracks here. Aftertaste, Something In The Way You Move, and Holding On for Life all have killer hooks and production. Not a complete waste, but a disappointment, especially considering how she used to sound.

Pretty hot and cold. Some downright awful tracks (We Can't Move To This, Don't Need Nobody), some solid tracks (Lost And Found, Scream It Out).

I was a huge fan of Lights back in 2010. I thought this girl had a bright future. Never did I expect her "electro folk-esque" to disappear and would just go full on pop. I gave Halycon a chance but absolutely despised it. Now, with this album, i'd much rather listen to her previous attempt. She has slowly lost it. This album isn't even remotely enjoyable in any way. I give her props for 'Love Me Like You Do', the only single i've enjoyed from her since 'Anything Could Happen'. However, that's about it.

Her descent into complete and total mediocrity is almost complete.

awful, and I actually liked where she was heading before - Halcyon Days is a surprisingly solid
re-release. Army's a clear higlight, most of the other stuff is delete-worthy. Love Me Like You Do
is generic as hell, too.

ellie goulding seems to be completely incapable of qualifying anything ever:r"love me like you do"r"i don't understand why i got u on my mind"r"there's something in the way you move."

Pretty big disappointment. I liked Halcyon and Lights. Expected better than this at first, but once she released "On My Mind," I saw she was going for a more commercial and pop sound. This album isn't a complete failure, but in comparison to her previous attempts, this is pretty poor. I've enjoyed some of the songs on here, but the album does lack personality. Maybe her next attempt (if she has one) will be more experiemental

The album isn't bad, exactly, but lacking in personality, apart from maybe I Do What I Love, and standouts, apart from Something In The Way You Move and Don't Panic.

Hmm I like pop so I expected I might like this. I really enjoyed Halcyon Days. As others have said, there's just too much of the same beat and sound, which is not bad but doesn't interest. Not one of the best pop albums out there like 1989 and E-mo-tion - thought it might be before I listened.

Ellie Goulding goes Calvin Harris with her "big pop" album. A few of these tracks are neat: the trap
leanings of "On My Mind", the folksy debut album nostalgia of "Lost And Found", the subtle power of
"Devotion", The stack chords/vocal harmonies of "Army", and even the grand (if slightly cheesy)
"Love Me Like You Do". Aside from those songs, Delirium is unbelievably generic and bloated at
it's 16 track length. This wouldn't be such an issue if most of the songs didn't sound exactly the
goddamn same. A truly disappointing album, especially after the more varied and artistic explorations
of her first two albums. Not even Ellie's cool/cutesy rasp voice can save these songs from being
nothing more than used for a lame ass commercial where Instagram teenagers dance around with
hand held fireworks, pretending their lives are cooler than yours.
