Review Summary: do not listen to this album

If you ever wanted to hear your favourite songs from rock music royalty downtuned and with death metal vocals, then Six Feet Under's Graveyard Classics series is for you. Literally, that's all it is. And why would you want that?

This is Six Feet Under's fourth cover album now. They first did this crap back in 2000 and thought it went so well they decided to do it another three more times. Having previously defiled such badass music as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Metallica, and the entirety of AC/DC's Back in Black to name a few, the band now decided to shit all over two undisputed metal gods, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.

There's absolutely nothing to make Six Feet Under's versions of these songs unique or interesting. They take a classic track, tune their guitars down and play it note for note. Then Chris Barnes comes in and gargles smegma over the top. There's honestly not even much more I can say about this album, other than it being so god damn awful it makes me want to kick my own ass for listening to it. Seriously, Barnes sounds like some 16 year old kid who just got into death metal and tried growling for the very first time. It's hard to believe he's been doing this for like 30 years. Somehow, the band convinced Ray Alder from Fates Warning to guest on Priest's ‘Invader,’ but he's so low in the mix that if you weren't listening for him, you probably wouldn't even know he was there. The guitars sound like a wet fart and the drums have no punch at all. Look at the artwork. I don't even have to describe why that's utter garbage.

This piece of trash album belongs in the fuckin graveyard.

The Graveyard Classics series is the fucking worst even by the ultra-low SFU standards.
