Review Summary: It's our time to give violence a chance.
A lot can happen in six minutes. A lot of important things have happened in the span of six minutes, probably. In six minutes, you could make a really important life decision. You could, perhaps, decide with your significant other whether you'd rather move into the suburban, dog-friendly, overpriced apartment five miles away from your childhood home, or into a cheap, studio apartment uptown closer to the swanky art school you plan on attending. You could successfully propose to that significant other, embrace him/her, and start to discuss plans of that beautiful wedding ceremony you're gonna have, the one on that gorgeous beach that you two have always dreamt of. You could also fight the police, start a riot, kill cis-hets, and fight to avenge your fellow fallen trans brethren that have had the life choked out of them by the god awful society you currently reside in.
Your boring ass should probably stick to worrying about the first two aforementioned six minute endeavors, because G.L.O.S.S have accomplished the latter of those three with some of the most straightforward, no nonsense punk instrumentation and earshredding screams you've ever heard. From the opening rally cry of, “WHEN PEACE IS JUST ANOTHER WORD FOR DEATH, IT'S TIME FOR US TO GIVE VIOLENCE A CHANCE.”, this Washington, all-queer quintet holds absolutely no punches when trying to rally their troops for a no-nonsense, clear, and concise mission. That mission: Give your white, cis-het government and police forces absolute, unadulterated HELL.
This is a hardcore album doing hardcore ***ing things made by a bunch of hardcore ***ing queer folk.
