1.5 very poor | LommyGreenhands | June 22nd 16 | At its best, overproduced and generic. At its worst, truly horrifying.

3.5 great | ignorethefashion | June 22nd 16 | True Sadness is the most polarizing of the Rubin albums for me. It has a couple of snoozers, a
couple of electronic-infused missteps, and several tracks that pale in comparison to their live
counterparts--but it also has moments of brilliance. There are songs that wouldn't sound totally
out of place on Emotionalism. There are songs where the experimentation pays off (particularly
the closing track)--examples of true progression. It has its flaws, but it also has its charms.

2.0 poor | furpa | April 17th 24 | No Hard Feelings is one of the best songs of its decade. The closing track here is kinda neato. Literally everything else is buttfuck trash.
