4.5 superb | alashereiam | April 6th 08 | All the Churches In New Orleans
This song starts off with an eerie keys solo, but gets right into it with the jazz feel. Then goes into a full band chant with a drum solo, giving it a nice relaxing feel but still rocking it. 3/5
Hunting the Canyon Below Our House
My favorite on this album, it starts off with a brief palm mute. The song tells a story of break up and how there really is no one else to replace him. The chorus is pretty catchy with dual vocals creating a dazzling harmony. About halfway through the songs slows down in the bridge, but has a buildup and going into an almost gang chant chorus. Overall an amazing song. 5/5
Breathe Dammit Breathe
This song was just okay, not great but not bad. The one thing that makes this song good is the breakdown towards the end (as far as rock breakdowns go). 3.5/5
A Sweet Kiss from the Afterlife
This song is my second favorite on the cd. It has a very ambient sound which kinda sound like the dear hunter. It is almost the same road map as Hunting the Canyon Below Our House, except the chorus is much faster and is defintely heart felt. This song gives me chills. 4.5/5
Traveling Salesman
This is my least favorite song on the cd. It really has nothing stand outish in comparison tothe other songs. 2.5/5
