It still has its moments, and its heights are some of their highest (Starcrossed Losers, I've Been Blind, Advaita Shuffle, I Am That) but some of the tracks have lost their impact over the years. Still solid but not as solid as initially thought.

Let's be honest, the Fratellis are done putting out albums like Costello Music or even Here We Stand. Seemingly no longer masters of rhythm, lyrics, or even melody, the Fratellis manage to spin 2 decent tracks in a collection of 11, "Starcrossed Lovers" and "I've Been Blind." The rest aren't necessarily insulting to the listener, but mainly consist of plodding, mid-tempo, snyth assisted country-fried clunkers. Shame.

It's not awful, and it's pretty charming at times, but it doesn't sound like the Fratellis. If you are an avid fan of their earlier albums you probably won't like this one. It's a heavily 80s and modern pop influenced record.
