4.5 superb | wrax | November 17th 10 | There is nothing missing. Don't forget he is reinventing a whole genre here. It's not just playing acoustic guitar, it's acoustic fingerstyle, progressive acoustic, heavy new age, whatever you want to call it and this is a perfect example of the genre. Standout tracks are Aerial Boundaries, Bensusan, Ragamuffin, Rickover's Dream, Hot Type, Menage a Trois, The Magic Farmer. I didn't give it a perfect rating as I don't understand why he bothered with a cover of "After The Goldrush". If he wanted to include a cover there were so many better ones he was playing live at the time such as Captain Kennedy (Neil Young) or Almost Cut My Hair or any one of the many demos that he never officially released such as Adrienne. About You or Outside Cabin 11.rWonderful guitarist who passed in 1997. RIP Michael.

3.0 good | CrazyFool84 | November 17th 08 | Though the record should be given props for innovating this genre, and Michael Hedges was a ridiculous talent, I can't help but feel there is something missing on this album. Perhaps being a fan of his contemporary Antoine Dafour's playing marrs this record a bit, but all in all it should be checked out.
