0.0 | this is the best album that i\\\\\\\'ve (n)ever heard in my entire life. | March 29th 20 | The soundtrack to Stevens and Brams spiritual and mental healing journey through powerful meditation, yoga, and gem cleansing . The album is like a geyser of pure, unrefined anal chakra spasmodically sputtering out all the bad vibez and purifying the duo's colons of their shared grief. A timeless classic that transcends timelessness.

3.2 good | Erwann S. STAFF | March 27th 20 | Not bad, but rather inoffensive. Some pretty moments here and there, but new age isn't Sufjan - or his stepfather Lowell - strongest genre to play with. It's always cool to see an artist experiment with sound, but it's just not revolutionary or better than any other new age/progressive electronic release.

0.0 | Sowing STAFF | March 29th 20 | Moments of intrigue overshadowed by vastly meandering soundscapes that were seemingly written to merely exist. This doesn't transport or haunt, it just happens. It also has the misfortune of being released at the same time as NIN's masterful (free) double album. This is like the alcohol-free sparkling cider to Reznor's fine wine.

2.5 average | buttgrinder | March 27th 20 | Nothing here is bad, annoying, or overly obnoxious. But nothing stands out or impresses other than maybe a track or two. For an ambient album, everything is too short to allow you to get immersed in the atmosphere. Most tracks are less than 2 minutes long. Very disjointed, with nothing connecting these little Spyro sound snippets together.

3.0 good | Gene Gol CONTRIBUTOR | January 20th 21 | Remember hearing stuff like this in bulks from whatever underground electronic label Bandcamp decides to write about in a given month. Dime-a-dozen is what I'm saying, even if often pretty.

3.0 good | furpa | April 3rd 20 | Picks up towards the end and the concept is admirably ambitious, but it's still a mostly-pointless series of ambient vignettes that pass in a single, rather unmemorable blur.rThe Runaround is cool though.

4.5 superb | ajcollins15 | March 30th 20 | Honestly, I have absolutely loved the last two projects Sufjan has put out that are ambient pieces that have the soundscape of space. I really have nothing negative with this record other than I wish some of the production wasn't so washed out. Otherwise, I am blown away by this almost masterpiece.

2.5 average | RhaegarHarp | March 28th 20 | what is obnoxious is the fact that he brought this to the table after a 5-year wait. No, Sufjan, no.
