Formidable metal that will slay your enemies and bring joy to your earballs even if it's not entirely original.

They say that you have a lifetime to prepare your first album but only a specific period of time for its follow-up. Unfortunately, this is something that is apparent on The Mad King, as the songwriting here is less exciting that the debut and a bit repetitive. Nonetheless, this is still a great slab of epic power metal, featuring the legendary Daniel Heiman on vocals.

Warrior Path's sophomore album has great production (albeit a bit too polished for its own good), and an excellent singer, but the music, although palatable, sounds like it was written overnight; before long, song structures blend with each other.
