I'd have to compare these guys to a shotgun. It's not that effective at long range, but it's a huge blast that releases its whole clip at once.

Implosive Disgorgence is a tremendously heavy deathgrind/grindcore. In the grindcore community, its either hated or loved. Some consider it too cliche'd grind, Some believe they are too repetitive, which I can sort of agree with. The vocals stand out much from other unpopular grindcore bands, such as Pig Destroyer. They're probably the deepest vocals I've ever heard, which seems much like a burp to Darth Vader, except deeper.

They have no bassist, but their drummer and guitarist really shine. In song Chapter One, you can clearly see the drummer attacking his set with intense brutality. He's able to attack the drums so fiercly, and then come to a complete stop without missing a beat. The guitarist is able to make his riffs completely heavy enough to make you forget there's no bass.

Throughout all their songs, the pace is frantic, kept up by huge rolls by the drummer, and excellent breakdown-quality riffs, and horrific throat sounds. Basically, the ridiculous pace is all you need in a grindcore band. However, upon listening to all the songs, you realize how repetitive the band is. Their sound is so intense, it can't really have room to change.

So check these guys out if you are into metalcore or grindcore. However, if you can't stand screaming like some of my metalhead friends do, don't even take a second glance at this review.
