4.0 excellent | sanji999 | June 9th 23 | lol funny that im the first one to rate this. Album is very laid back, minimal and a tad somber, even more so than usual. There are some obvious highlights and I get the vybe the album is going for with its sleepy island space feel. But some songs just seemed a bit undemanding of my attention due to the sparse and relaxed nature (first song for example). But maybe this'll grow on me. Songs I remember adoring: That Is My Life, That Is Yours / Empty Stomach Space Cadet / Hamburgerphobia / When Vanishing
I strongly hope Sput doesn't destroy this album. I don't think King Krule quite deserves it. He mostly takes great care of his projects, that's why I was excited and have to say, I wasn't dissapointed, though this isn't the most immediate music as well. Cheers

3.0 good | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | July 25th 23 | King Krule still attempting his hamfisted sonic derailments as a concept album resulting in a back-loaded listen that is not as sketch-like as a lot of his previous listen, but is still just as sparse and abstract.

3.1 good | Erwann S. STAFF | June 23rd 23 | Another lethargic offering by KK - waw the surprise! As always, for me, this dude manages to stay out of the boring zone while still being dangerously close to it. His mishmash of many cool genres helps, as does his immediately-recognizable crooner, but the songs just don't have much staying power on me. Pleasant enough.

3.5 great | ajcollins15 | June 14th 23 | King Krule?s fourth album is exactly what you would expect it to sound like, which is nothing amazing and horrible. ?Space Heavy? has the hazy and psychedelic nature that fans, like me, have come to love and appreciate with Archy?s music. Continuing with his lush Elvis-inspired vocals and trance-like post-punk and jazz-rock guitars and saxophone. However, this album feels fairly lifeless when you fully listen to it. The intrusive and angry lyricism is there, but everything feels less euphoric and blander. Still, there are a lot of extremely solid ideas on here as always, and extremely memorable tracks like ?Hamburgerphobia? and ?Seagirl?.
