Review Summary: This album is very listener friendly and catchy. A very fun listen with great singing and lyrics.

Motions and Miles may be a new band, but they really aren't as new as they seem. They are comprised of four of the five members from In:Aviate, so they have a lot of experience together. When In:Aviate took a hiatus, Motions and Miles was born. They share a lot of similarities as well as differences from their old act...but anyway let's get to the E.P.

"Grace"- This is the happiest sounding song on the album. It has some really good vocals, which as a rarity sings over nothing but bass and drums in the verse. The lyrics on this song are really universal, and easy to connect to.
4/5

"Solipsism"- This song begins with a cool experimental drum beat, and a slow guitar part that almost sounds like piano. The lyrics on this song are much more deep and well thought out. The chorus on this song is vocally monotone, but still sounds awesome. Then it goes to the "stone knee" guitar solo. I think it is a cool solo, but I also think it takes away from the cohesiveness of the song. This is my favorite song on the E.P.
5/5

"Every Day Between the Facts and Faith"- Another cheerful song. It is probably the most evolved musically, though it seems to use the same a minor pentatonic scale as "Safe in Sound". It is probably the most well organized song on the album, and has some of the best vocals in the end. Despite this, the lyrics are some of the weaker on the album. This is my least favorite song on the E.P.
3/5

"Safe in Sound"- This song has the coolest guitar parts of the four songs, even though the whole song can be played using four frets. It has some annoying echo vocals that take away from the verse. The chorus on this song is absolutely awesome. Ryan's vocals are absolutely awesome. Then it goes to the bridge, which has a way cool guitar riff. The problem with the bridge is the vocals. They aren't bad, but it gets annoying because it is very high pitched. Had he done it an octave lower it would be awesome. All in all a great song.
4.5/5

Pros- Every song has an awesome part or two. The lyrics and vocals are great as always. Musically much more dynamic than In:Aviate. RJ's bass lines are legit.

Cons- Boring guitar for the most part (though it is musically more clever). The high pitched vocals in "Safe in Sound". The choppiness of the verse for "Every Day Between the Facts and Faith".

This E.P. is very accessible for new listeners, and I am almost sure you will all enjoy it. Go buy it on itunes or go to myspace.com/motionsandmiles to peep the songs.
