3.0 good | lobby | March 25th 10 | Melbourne's latest up-and-coming underground metal group, Okera, have been gigging a bit in 2009 with bands such as Rainshadow, Wood of Suicides and recently, Be'lakor. The band's live performances are terrific, playing a dark melodic rendition of Death Doom Metal.
And now, 2010, they release their debut EP with three 7+ minute tracks reminiscent of Melbourne's last band to receive significant attention from a three track ep - Ne Obliviscaris. The music here is great. Derivative, but enjoyable nonetheless.
