Review Summary: In short, Girls' Generation blew my mind. From a cutesy song like "My J" to a strong ballad like "How Great is Your Love"
WARNING: This is more like a rundown of each song than a review. I try to be as unbiased as possible though sometimes I can't control myself. Pay no heed to those parts. This is my first "review" EVER, please have a little sympathy. I also half arsed it at the end so please be a little nice.

The Songs:
The Boys: The Boys is the start off song, and what a start off song it is! It starts off with all 9 girls singing with backing vocals singing along with them, sort of kind of acapella-ish but not all the way there yet. Then a couple seconds later the beat started to kick in and it sort of sounds like an RnB-ish song until the vocals go into gear switching from Korean to English. Singing catchy rhymes such as "Girls' Generation make you feel the heat, and were doin' it we can't be beat". They really know how to bring this girl out of her shell! The Boys' sound is hard to describe other than an upbeat RnB/Pop song with tons of catchy lyrics. I rate it a 5/5. Good job girls!
Telepathy: A very upbeat pop song that kind of reminds me of "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry. This song is something that could probably be played in American stores and not tell a difference than to what people listen to today. It has that sort of sound that in my opinion is a very light and happy sort of song. I would give it a 4.5/5
Say Yes: Say Yes is again, a very pop-ish song that reminds me of early 2000's music. Though that being a good or bad thing depending on personal opinion is up to you, though to me it's the golden age of music. It's a good song to play just to get a good laugh and smile out. I give it a 4/5
TRICK: Trick in my personal opinion is a wonder to me. I mean a wonder by "It's a wonder that Girl's Generation sang a song like this" I think it's a great opportunity for the girls to show others they're not all rainbows and sunshine. That they can sing more than just pop and ballads. I give this song 4/5 not only for the beat, but for the originality for the girls.
How Great is Your Love: A ballad only the girls of Girls' Generation could sing. This song isn't as good as their other ballads such as "Dear. Mom" though it still packs the punch to the beautifully talented girls of Girl's Generation. It's a spine chilling song that makes you want to cry. I definitely recommend it to anybody that loves ballads. Korean fan or non Korean fan. I rate this a 5/5
My J: My J has that old '60's feel to it. With what sounds to be a music box playing in the back (Maybe a piano but I don't know). Having again very addicting rhymes in the song such as "My J, My J, My J Saranghaeyo wa". A song that will also put a smile on your face as fast as 1,2,3. I give this song a 4.5/5
OSCAR: Oscar is another song that sort of sounds like a today's music mixed with old school rnb and pop. With auto tune, backing vocals, and a beat that is really hard to resist. These girls are really good at keeping the pattern going! I give this song a 4/5
Top Secret: Top Secret has that sort of feel to it that makes you want to jump up and dance right out of your seat. It is a very addictive song that has a feel of the old soul songs had to them. I give this song a 3.5/5
Lazy Girl: Lazy Girl is sort of a mix of Telepathy and My J. It has the same concept of cute, girly and something that would put a smile on the most saddest person in the world. I give this song a 4/5
Sunflower: Sunflower is sort of a bore to me actually. I mean it has its ups but most of it is a slow song. Slower than how great is your love. I thought that until it started picking up. After it started to pick up I still thought it was kind of a lazy song but still sent chills up my back for some parts of the song. I rate it a 3/5
VITAMIN: Vitamin reminds me of an old musical that you just adore to replay over and over again and laugh, smile and dance. The song at first started out like a techno song until the vocals started. The beat changed into this cute and fun beat that is very hard to describe but something that people will be reminded of the old days. I give this song a 5/5
Mr. Taxi (Korean Vers): The Korean version to the original Japanese song. A very upbeat song that will remind you of the older Girl's Generation with the beat and lyrics. I give this song a 4/5
All in all I recommend this album to anyone wanting to experience a new slate of music. And to all fans of Girls' Generation like I am.
