0.0 | I trust hype on everything that isnt death metal EMERITUS | August 9th 14 | you know all these new progressive electronic revival guys? you know the ones who turn on
their arpeggiators and drench it in reverb and delay and layer everything and it sounds all
cool? well forget tangerine dream or any of those other germans, this is where those guys
get both their musical sensibilities and aesthetic from.
songs on this album sound like they could have come directly from an OPN compilation or
something. not to mention there are even hints as the kind of bleepy sound the early 90's
UK idm scene would appropriate almost a decade later. most people are familliar with
structures from silence, but this is a completely different beast entirely.
can something be prophetic while still being obscure? who knows, but this is beyond good,
especially the title track. that's surely what i would consider something of a lost
classic.

3.5 great | Just Tim. | October 16th 23 | gonna end up breaking the sput database switching this back and forth between a 3 and a 3.5. very ambitions record for a sophomore record in the days when synth music was young and seen with lots of potential, just very inconsistent

4.5 superb | Gene Gol CONTRIBUTOR | June 15th 20 | Even if a little corny, Roach's 'Traveler' is a deep dive into pop-oriented atmospheric electronica. In a lot of ways similar to 70s French space pop underground, Roach exudes an almost progressive rock flair.
