Review Summary: Mature deep house from an artist that should receive more attention

Jay Denes a.k.a. Blue Six is a relatively unknown deep house artist in the electronic music world. He combines fitting vocals and gentle melodies to create a sparkling sensation of deep house. In his books, experimentation hasn't been very prominent over the course of his career; he's simply bonded with his magnificent deep house sound and let all other genres stay out of appearance. What's so appealing to his Beautiful Tomorrow album is just that; 100% deep house with strands of luscious vocals and captivating melodies that will leave you in a state of awe. In addition to the brilliant sound, the songs on here are straightforward; they get to the point and don't take their time to construct. This could be taken in a negative way or positive way, but it's how your listening experience with Beautiful Tomorrow turns out.

Emotion is something this album plays out well, much like with a lot of deep house (taken the fact the genre is widely considered the most soulful out of the various electronic genres). One song that I found that was the most passionate and soothing was Music and Wine, the club-friendly hit that has been considered Jay Dene's best. It features a beautiful chorus sung by a female and shaky percussions that are very danceable. Towards the end of the track, a middle-eastern flute is interlaced with the beat and eventually cools down. This track is definitely my favorite off this LP and is widely considered so.

Sweeter Love is a good slice of heaven. It starts off with a fairly simple clap and tiny melodies associated with a few bells/chimes that grow and evolve at their own pace. Shortly thereafter, female vocals come into action and believe me, they are breathtaking. Her voice is very melodic and has a mystifying aroma that gives her so much pleasure in listening to. The final piece, and another bonanza that is perfect for lounging at one's pleasure or thinking about life in general, is the album title, Beautiful Tomorrow. The vibrant sound, warped piano strokes, and divine vocals make this song pure bliss. This track is also one of the major highlights as well.

There is nothing watered down, tapered, or lessoned here. The music on this LP is incredible, mature, sophisticated, and gradually uplifting (if you seriously sit down, light up the candles, and enjoy heaven at first sight, that is) deep house. This comes as very accessible too, with gentle beats overlapping simple yet effective melodies. This is overall an excellent album in Blue Six's books

Nice review Throne, you've improved quickly.

Only thing I could point out is that I think it still needs a bit more objectivity. And using brief descriptions from just three songs might not be enough to sell your readers on this album.

Just an opinion. But this is a very fine review.

This band needs a listening revival, and Ill be the first to say: probably one of the best, most consistent artists on the entire site.
