Review Summary: Summer snapshots Duchenne Smile is like a shallow sun strewn pool: the surface is glazed with bright shimmering lights that are delightful to look at, but if you stick your hand in, disturbing the surface, you'll find nothing substantial to hold onto. Basically, Geotic (AKA Baths AKA Will Wiesenfield) has crafted a really lovely morsel of an album. At only 28 minutes the experience doesn’t last long; these songs are only mere trifles floating by, compositions of a few minutes or less that don’t go anywhere and don’t need to. They just drift on and on in all their summer-y casual immediacy; no build up, no promise, just the same mellow melodies and motifs for a few minutes at a time. Every track is a lovely composition of delicate keys, simple guitar melodies, warm hazy synths and soft percussion. It’s like sinking into warm grass as a disjointed snapshot of summer memories goes past. It's nostalgic, it’s beautiful, it’s repetitive, and it’s ultimately unsatisfying, but oh god is it nice while it lasts.

havent had much to say about music lately, and im growing further into the opinion that most music reviewing isnt needed so ive kept this very short, i know. constructive feedback always appreciated still.
this was probably the quickest review ive ever written, which no doubt shows, but hell i was happy with it as it is.
