Amy Macdonald is a Scottish solo artist from Glasgow. She was born in 1987 and released her debut album "This Is The Life" at 20 years old in 2007. Macdonald cites her influences as indie bands such as "Travis" and "The Libertines" but has been compared to K.T Tunstall for her folky sound while her voice is similar to that of lead vocalist of "The Cranberries" Dolores O' Riordan. Macdonald's music could be described as alternative rock, folk rock, indie rock and soft rock. As well as vocals and songwriting, she also plays acoustic guitar.
In March 2010, she released her follow-up LP titled 'A Curious Thing'.
