Chevelle

Chevelle is a 3.8 alternative metal band from Grayslake, IL. They formed in 1994 with the members of Sam Loeffler, Pete Loeffler (brothers) and bass player Matt Scott. The position of bass player changed a few times until the band became a duo of the brothers Sam and Pete by the late 2010s. Inspired by the lurching riffs of Helmet and the soft/loud vocal styling of Tool, Chicago-based trio Chevelle’s aggressive, heavy sound has evolved throughout the decades. Chevelle released their first studio album, entitled Point #1, on May 4, 1999. Their most recent and ninth album, NIRATIUS, released March 5th 2021. NIRATIUS was their most experimental album as well as the first time the band had since starting a chance to experience a flexible schedule while making the album.
