Somewhat of a new era jazz fusion supergroup, Garage a Trois was formed in 1998 by Charlie Hunter (8 string guitar/bass hybrid), Stanton Moore (drums), and Skerik (saxophone). After several live shows, and one well-received album, Garage a Trois picked up vibraphonist and percussionist Mike Dillon. Never quite reaching widespread popularity, Garage a Trois has remained a mostly nightclub act with its own brand of jazz funk fusion with the occasional punk influence coming to the surface. As of 2007, Charlie Hunter left the group to focus on his self-titled trio. Garage a Trois continue to perform with the addition of Marco Benevento on keyboards.
