Living Colour are one of the successful bands of the crossover metal genre. The band only features black men as musicians. They formed in New York in 1984 and signed to Epic Records in 1988, then released their first album Vivid which included the hit "Cult of Personality" and released two more albums (Time's Up and Stain) and one EP (Biscuits).
