Masturbation was a Japanese punk band that first formed in 1981. Founded when the members were only in their teens, they
had some success in the Japanese underground punk scene until their split in 1985. Drummer Tatsuya Nakamura would go on to
become a cult figure in the Japanese music scene, going on to form the instrumental supergroup Losalios and most famously
being a member of the widely successful alternative band Blankey Jet City.
