Lengsel (which means "Longing/Yearning" in Norwegian) was a band comprised of the current guitarists and bassist of fellow Norwegian Metller's, Extol. However, Lengsel played a style of music much closer to their homeland's native brand of metal than their contemporary, in other words, these guys played some mean Black Metal. With a line up that included Tor S. Magne Glidje on guitar and vocals, John Robert Mjaland on bass and Ole Halvard Sveen on drums, this creative trio would come up with their own unique brand of Black Metal that helped them gain a close-knit cult following over 8 years after disbanding.
