James Orr Complex is the solo project of Glasgow musician Chris Mack, whose previous musical work includes the bands Eska and Maxton Grainger.
With a sound defined largely by the originality of his highly accomplished guitar playing - ranging from simple melodies to complex fingerpicking, and complimented by a highly individual lyrical and vocal style, Chris Mack's work in James Orr Complex presents music that is as well written and performed as it is original.
Could be described as contemporary folk, and comparisons have been drawn to the likes of Django Reinhardt, John Fahey and José González.
