An Australian band formed in 1980, the Church combined the 60's 12-string techniques of the Byrds with the neo-psychedelia of the time to create an emotional blend that can only be described as 'epic'. Their biggest hit, "Under the Milky Way", steadily climbed the Top 40 in 1988, and with it brought a newfound stardom. Unfortunately, they never matched the success of "Under the Milky Way" nor the album it appeared on, Starfish, which eventually went gold.
