Aeternus
Aeternus initially began as a Norwegian black metal trio composed of Ares (Ronny Hovland), Vrolok (Erik Heggernes), and Morrigan (Nicola Trier). Over the years their sonic element would gradually morph from atmospheric black, towards Florida-style death metal, especially from 1999's Shadows of Old and onward. With a myriad of line-up changes, each album naturally takes on a distinct value from the previous, whether sonically or physically; 7" EP Dark Rage for example had a limited pressing of 500 copies, while Burning the Shroud was arguably a live album disguised as a compilation CD, not f ...read more
