Amil Whitehead, better known simply as Amil, is a female rapper from NYC. She had some success throughout the late 90’s particularly for
appearing on a few of Jay-Z’s singles. She released her debut album in 2000, “A.M.I.L. (All Money is Legal)”, which was a commercial flop,
although it did garner some critical acclaim. Amil temporarily disappeared from the rap circuit in 2003, but returned in 2005, and she later
released her second album in 2008, “Az Iz”, which was independently released.
