Ever experimenting and evolving, Derek has founded and remained a key component in bands including Blue In The Face (Acoustic-Pop-Electronica), Self-Made Martyr (Alt. Country-Punk), A New Ending (Acoustic-Pop-Punk-Rock), Motionless (Pop-Punk), and he is the artistic mastermind behind the graphic art-comic novel series, VEMPS. On his own debut and continuing work in Hip-Hop, Derek/BMB growing musical collaborations include: Jara (also of Before The Flood and Thy Kingdom Come), Drew Smith (also of Save Amos, The BiNGE, Convicted, Nods To Nothing, et al.), ILex, Manny B, TicDaWest (also of Underground Railroad Magazine), Aharon, FUNERAL (with SIX, DEKS, & CHEF), Blue In The Face, Self-Made Martyr, and on... While writing and producing, Derek/BMB has worked with musician/model Angelina Ivy (aka Champagne) on her debut album and Soulful-Pop-Rock singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist JARA on his solo works.
With BMB, Derek gets a whole new area to dominate...droppin' beats, singin' hooks, and spittin' rhymes. Itz da BMB.
