A band of three kids who have a dream of one day becoming one of the biggest things to hit the
world. With their; 80's hair, costumes (with their own unique color and style) a mixed band of all
styles of music. Starting from 80's metal to present day rock! The founders of the band Reese and
Enigma met in a rehearsing studio in West Hollywood at Cascade Studios with the PEPPERMINT
CREEPS. Enigma rehearsing for the show with that he played with the Peppermint Creeps in May.
Reese being the only student Traci Michaelz ever taught, met there. A few months along the road,
Reese and Enigma formed a band with a girl bass player. (Her name will remain unknown for personal
reasons.) The band never really got anywhere until she left the band and Johnny "Venom" joined the
band a little later in October, 2008. Their first gig was in Sweetwater High School. They caught the
attention of "Underground Music Review" and we're booked at Channel Twelve25. (Which is now
basically the home venue for Bitter Black.)
After playing around the San Diego area, they were entered in a battle of the bands along with
NOOSE and 34 other bands. They made it in the top 6 out of 36 bands. Unfortunately they did not
win but certainly caught the attention of everyone there. People who went to the show told their
friends on myspace about this "Creepy" black lighted band. Ever since, they've been seen around
Channel Twelve25 just supporting other bands and saying hi to fellow friends and fans that show up.
Bitter Black is surely becoming known throughout the music industry. These three kids are at the
edge of making their dreams coming true, thanks to their upcoming album, "STEAL THE SHOW!"
Bitter Black has always been been good friends with Noose. Bitter Black actually had their first
show with Noose at Sweetwater High. Thanks to Noose they were able to use all the stage props
and Enigma was able to play his guitar on the count of his guitar amp did not want to work, (They
ended up using Pepe's amp.) They also got booked for that show thanks to UNDERGROUND
MUSIC REVIEW. They wanted to see how good they were to see if they would take them to the next
level. After putting on a great show, one of the Underground Music Reviewers said, "You guys
definately stole the show. Do you want to play a show next month at Channel Twelve25?" Not much
later, good old Noose joined the action at Channel Twelve25.
After a full year of working on their music. They finally got recorded by ALKALOID JUNKIE
RECORDINGS by Macy Malone. (Owner, CEO, Producer of Alkaloid Junkie Recordings and guitarist
and singer for the Peppermint Creeps.) Now with tracks to back them up, getting shows at other
venues should be no problem.
In the middle of March, 2010, things were going downhill for Bitter Black. Band members started
getting side-tracked from their main goal. Reese and Johnny both left the band for personal
reasons. Enigma was left with the band and with a show at the end of the month, he knew exactly
where to go. He had been hanging out and jamming with Rusty and John. They joined the band
shortly after and became the NEW Bitter Black.
Bitter Black has also become really good friends with an amazing band by the name of,
"COUNTER LAUNCH." They are a punk/opera/metal band from San Diego, Ca. Enigma met them
through a good friend Amanda, when Enigma needed bands to perform with them at "The Stage."
She said that Gabriel (Guitarist & Singer) and his band were always up for playing a show. Ever
since they first talked they've been good friends and also have made band plans together for later in
the future. « hide |
