Black Cats were an influential Japanese rockabilly band that originally formed in 1979. Although the group never experienced
true mainstream fame, they were one of the oldest and most influential acts among the Japanese rockabilly revival of the 1980's.
The group originally split in 1986, but reformed in 1994. However, the group ended up splitting once more by 1999.
