Black Dog Productions was formed in 1988 as a trio. They started out playing techno music but soon began adding breakbeats to their music
as well. They produced a few EPs before being signed to Warp Records and releasing the LP Bytes in 1993. The group split in 1995 into the
groups Black Dog and Plaid.
