Bluem of Youth were a Japanese pop rock band that formed in 1992. For the first six years of their career, the group achieved
little-to-no mainstream fame, but were indie superstars, perhaps comparable to Glay in terms of sound. The group are perhaps
best known for their risky deal in which they had to fly to Russia, earn money strictly from street lives and had to compose
asong and perform it in front of at least 10,000 people at the Budokan, the most respected live venue in Japan. They

accomplished their goal, with their single reaching number 2 on the Oricon charts, their biggest single in their career. Their 2000
album, "Supasiba" (Russian for 'thank you') reached a respectable ranking at number 12, and stayed in the charts for 5
weeks.However, single and album sales quickly plummeted, and the group decided to split in early 2003. The group are known
for having reunions once in a while, and, reportedly, often visit Russia today. « hide |
