Bo Gumbos were a legendary Japanese rock band that formed in 1987. Known for their highly flamboyant costumes and theirtropical-like sound, the
group eventually became one of the most iconic bands to hail from the island of Okinawa. In 1995, afternearly a decade together, Bo Gumbos
disbanded, and in January of 2000, frontman Takashi Kudomi died in Hawaii of a brainhemorrhage. He was only 37 years old.
