Brilliant at Breakfast formed in Yogyakartar, Indonesia in 2009.
It actually started off with a concept of an anonymous / semi-
fictional band – a bit like Gorillar,only with nameless stick figures
as the member (like the ones on their myspace page) They also
want to keep it fluid, a bit inspired by Broken Social Scene, that's
why they dont have the concept of membership. Anyone can come

as the member (like the ones on their myspace page) They also
want to keep it fluid, a bit inspired by Broken Social Scene, that's
why they dont have the concept of membership. Anyone can come
& jam them if they like. It started off as a personal project of Eka
Jayani Ayuningtyas, but then she met a guy who’s now the guitarist.
It turned out they made a good match, and found some other fellows
to play live. Eka write all the lyrics and make the songs together
with the guitarist. The two of them work on the arrangement for
all instruments except the drums (the drummer does it himself!).
They range their influences from popular culture (comic book
superheroes, Greek mythology, urban legends, novels) to everyday
life (end-of-vacation blues, intoxicating drinks, sugary drinks, road
accidents) With their packed of talent, and unlimited of love and
