Presenting a complex style derived from numerous elements of ambient metal and progressive rock combined with experimental
overtones, CETERUM is a fusion of eclectic musical and artistic influences and inspirations. It has been that diversity and the
disregard for conceptual boundaries that has formed the backbone of the project since its inception.
With members hailing from various regions of the country, the band - Jared Amlin (guitars), Jason Broussard (drums), Ty Jividen
(vocals), Matt McFarland (guitars), and Bill Sanchez (bass) - now has its foundation firmly entrenched in Cleveland, OH. After being
tapped to support bands like Soilwork and Helmet, the group garnered local attention in 2008 and independently released the EP
“Proportions” a year later – a collaboration with multi-platinum, award winning producer Michael Seifert (Dave Matthews Band, Tori
Amos). The track “Insolence.Recoil” has since received significant regional airplay reaching all the way to Knoxville, TN, as well as
being featured on WJCU’s “Metal on Metal” program to enthusiastic feedback.
Having inked a development deal with Reversed Image Productions and a debut full-length album slated for an early 2010 release,
CETERUM continue to create their own unique collage of sound, intent on showcasing their creative progression and offering their
aural concepts unfiltered. « hide |
