Eve (JPN)

Eve was a pop-rock trio from Japan. Originally formed in 1974 as Apples, the group ended up changing their name to Eve in 1978. In February of 1987, Eve returned with the release of “Koi no Passion”, which was their first original single release nearly 6 years. The single ended up being a slight success, becoming their first release as Eve to break the Oricon charts at number 51. Eve would go on to have some more mild mainstream success, reaching their peak in the 1990 edition of the prestigious yearly NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen program. In 1993, Eve quietly halted activities as a recording band, instead deciding to work in the field of commercial jingles, which they are still active in today, and have reportedly recorded over 2,000 jingles to date. « hide
