This Black Metal band was formed in 2003 in the town of Kyyiv, Ukraine. Like countrymen Holy Blood, whose guitarist Artyom Stupak plays every instrument but drums (handled by Vadim Fed'ko), Evroklidon's lyrics are written in Ukrainian and focus on Christianity and spiritual warfare.
However, Evroklidon includes cleanly sung bass-register vocals along with a more underground, atmospheric, grim black metal style, and the compositions tend to be longer; half the songs on the band's debut album - "The Flame of Sodom" - approach or exceed nine minutes. Therefore, Evroklidon is often described as "epic black metal".
