Tim and Lane brought different background genres and influences to the table, from blues to classic rock to emo/indie to jazz to
metal to ambient and post-rock. They continued to write and rewrite music for over a year, experimenting on a few small crowds for
feedback and adjustments. They asked bass player Avery Bell in the fall of 2015 to join in on a session and found their missing link.
Adding on Avery to play a show in December 2015 turned into the full lineup of the band. The band has since continued to write and
record songs in the vein of alternative, emo, math, indie, and ambient, resulting in a style that doesn't quite fit any one genre.
Their debut EP, Wherever It May Take You was released mid-December 2016. In 2017, Goodfires plans to dig into their music and
writing styles, experimenting with new tones, rhythms, time signatures, and genres. They are always writing, recording, and
coming up with new ideas. In 2017, the band will be based out of Atlanta, GA, in the hopes of hashing out a place in the music
industry. « hide |
