Ground Zero

Ground Zero was formed in the year 1990 by power jazz mastermind Otomo Yoshihide, with bassist Hideki Kato. With a large and ever changing lineup, Ground Zero successfully and effectivly explored many sounds including soft ambient textures, harsh noise, and avant-jazz. Through an amalgamation of unique sampling techniques, acoustic instrumentation and electronics, Ground Zero produced their own unique and seminal sound. Yoshihide disbanded Ground Zero in the year 1998 after the release of their final album, "Last Concert".
