People often think Jonathan Thomas belongs to the Detroit techno scene. His particular groove and minimal sound, as well as his anglo-saxon sounding
name are without a doubt parts of this misunderstanding. The 26 years old Frenchman has quickly become one of the leading producer on the French
scene. John can definitely be qualified as prolific: he has already released an album, a mixed-CD and around 30 EP’s under different concepts (Funkless,
D Collection or Static Drum featuring Olivier Micheli). He has been remixed by Robert Hood Claude Young, Aril Brikha, Dj Slip and has remixed Technasia
and Steve Rachmad. He’s also a resident Dj since 1999 of the famous Rex Club in Paris. In his early years, John has been influenced by the rythms and
beats of Africa, where he spent most of his childhood. As he grew up to be 15, John was bewitched by the music of the May-Saunderson-Atkin’s trio.
From that day on, he never stopped developing this ruthlessly percussive and groovy sound. He is an exeptional dj and plays regulary with 3 decks.
