MC Lara, also known as Glenda Resurreccion, is an influential female emcee from the Philippines. Originally a member of a rap group called The
Rapbusters, she eventually went solo in 1992, before retiring from the music industry by 1994. She returned to the mainstream industry as a radio
personality in 1997, before later also becoming an actress. Under the name of Glenda Resurreccion, she made her return to the hip hop scene in 2012
with the release of the single "Larara". She is currently one of the most popular entertainers in the Philippines.
