Morriah was an American speed/thrash metal band formed in Greenvile, South Carolina in 1983. Guitarist Karl Sanders, drummer Pete Hammoura and bassist Chief Spires would notably go on to form death metal act Nile in 1993. According to a later interview with Sanders, Morriah were active for "about ten years, on and off" and played together with such bands as Morbid Angel, Queensryche, Danzig and Metal Church.
