Fresh out of Birmingham, Oceans Ate Alaska were tipped as one of the more talented and exciting bands to look out for in 2012. Their most prominent release is their 2017 release and second full-length album, Hikari. Their second EP before they released any LPs, Into The Deep, also gained a lot of publicity in 2012.
The current line-up of members is Chris Turner, James Kennedy, Adam Zytkiewicz, Mike Stanton, and Jake Noakes.
Original lead vocalist James Harrison left the band in 2017 and was replaced by Jake Noakes. James Kennedy (rhythm guitar/backing vocals) and Chris Turner (drums) are the two original founders still in the band.
