Parmalee's music boasts vicious riffs, flawless harmonies, huge choruses and infectious sing-along melodies, bridging the gap between anthemic rock, Southern Soul and today's aggressive sounds, creating an unforgettable brand of Rock-n-Roll...Parmalee. Parmalee consists of four professional musicians who came together in late 2001 with one goal in mind: to write and perform their own distinct brand of guitar-driven, melodic music for anyone who would listen. Their sound quickly took shape, powered by the captivating vocals of lead singer Matt Thomas. With the addition of bassist Barry Knox's (Matts cousin) vocals and those of long-time friend and lead guitarist Josh McSwain, Parmalee's trademark 3-part harmony was born. Driven by the commanding rhythm of drummer Scott Thomas (Matts brother), Matt, Josh and Barry fronted the emerging sound known to the music world as Parmalee. The band's distinct sound developed with time on the road and in the studio while recording their first EP, Daylight. As the band toured, fans snatched up thousands of copies of Daylight. The band had their first big break when this swell of fan support caught the eye of noted producer David Bendeth (RCA). Bendeth invited Parmalee to record three songs at Water Music Studios in Hoboken, NJ., which lead to a publishing deal with LA-based Windswept Publishing. Following the publishing deal came an invitation from Bendeth to record the remainder of the 12 songs that comprise the band's full-length debut album, Inside, securing Parmalee's credentials as an emerging new band.
