Pour Lui is a Japanese "alternative" idol. Her initial indies career started in 2010 with the release of her debut EP, "Minna no Pour Lui", when she was 20 years old. The release started a slight buzz in the indies scene, for its unique, highly experimental style. However, in 2011, she decided to put her solo career on hold, and become the leader in the infamous "anti-idol" group, Brand-new Idol Society (sometimes known as BiS, no relation to the Scottish indie pop band of the same name). The group would take the Japanese indies world by storm, and are currently one of the most ambitious, and controversial, idol groups in the indies scene.
