Sakebu Shijin no Kai (which loosely translated to Screaming Poets Co.) was an underground art punk band from Japan. First
formed in 1990, thegroup soon developed a passionate following for their signature sound that blended avant-garde styled punk
with artsy spoken word poetry thatusually followed an emotionally tortured theme and performance. After developing one of the
largest underground followings of the 1990's punkunderground in Japan, Sakebu Shijin no Kai ended up disbanding in 1999, after
nearly a decade together. Despite having been split for almost twodecades, some of the members of the group remain active in
the music industry today, and Sakebu Shijin no Kai maintain a huge cult following today.
