Sam Ryder is a British singer-songwriter who first rose to prominence as a solo artist through Tiktok posting covers during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, before participating in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, where he finished second with the original song "Space Man". Previously, he was the co-founder of The Morning After, a vocalist/guitarist for metalcore/glam metal band Blessed by a Broken Heart, as well as a lead vocalist for melodic hardcore band Close Your Eyes, contributing to their final album Line in the Sand.
