Steve Jollife is an English musician, singer and multi-instrumentalist born in 1949, playing keyboard, flute and saxophone among others. In the late 1960s he played with Rick Davies in a band called the Joint which would eventually evolve to become Supertramp. Leaving the Joint to study at the conservatory in Berlin, he met Edgar Froese and played live with one of the earliest incarnations of Tangerine Dream. Jollife was also a member of British rock band Steamhammer, performing on their 1969 album Mk. II and touring with them. He would briefly rejoin Tangerine Dream for the 1978 album Cyclone where he is credited with vocals, lyrics and a number of instruments. Starting with the 1980s, Jollife began releasing solo albums, most notably 1982's Journeys Out Of The Body which was produced by Tony Duhig (Jade Warrior, July). Jollife has also contributed music to the 1986 Richard Wahnfried album Miditations, as well as Eat Static's Science of the Gods and Crash and Burn. « hide |
