The Terrorists are a hip hop duo from the ghetto of South Park in Houston, Texas. First formed in 1989, the duo consisted of emcees Dope-E and Egypt E, and the duo managed to stir up a bit of controversy for their highly political and violent lyrics, predating other political hip hop duos like The Coup by two years and Dead Prez by seven years. After releasing only a few singles and two full length albums, The Terrorists ended up disbanding in 1997, although the duo would later reform in 2007, and also released their comeback album in 2008, "Detonate the Landmines", which was their first original release in 13 years.
