Todd Wathen was a Los Angeles singer/songwriter who released his only album, With Love... in 1979. The album was eventually forgotten for over 30 years before the Collector Scum music blog shared the album after a chance encounter with it at a record store in 2009. The blog was surprisingly well received, eventually leading to Todd Wathen to come out of hiding surprised to see his record gaining a following so many years later. The album was re-pressed and re-released in 2014 with the help of Todd and Collector Scum's new label Swan Fungus Records.
Todd can be possibly credited for establishing some of the 80s most popular pop rock tropes that would be used by many of the decade's most popular bands. Even if his record never saw any measurable success.
